Banditry is a fast growing problem in St. Lucia. These bandits are seldom caught. Now that one was caught in the act, he should be made to pay dearly. The conditions for bail should be made so severe that hardly anyone should want to bail him. It should have been $100 000 cash, report to the Police Station everyday, no alcoholic drinks, not to be seen in public between 6pm to 6am. If he is found guilty as charged, he deserves a custodial sentence and a public flogging. Send the message that you must work honestly to satisfy your needs and wants. Leave people with their hard earned money. I hope he gives up his accomplices. These thugs are potential murderers.

Wow! Once again, I am speechless after reading this. Is this a joke or something? Hardworking law abiding citizens are living in fear, we can hardly leave our homes and that’s the message that is being sent to criminals from our courts? UNBELIEVABLE!

Well the guy looked like he was severely beaten up. AND I don’t think that was right. He’s someone son and he could be associating himself with the wrong friends and could have been influenced in other ways…drugs..bad peers….family history… #just saying….

Stop your foolishness. The only reason that citizens are now taking the fight to these crooks is because the legal system is crap. It’s too old fashioned and takes too long. “Justice delayed is justice denied”

Imagine a St Lucian had a traffic accident in Barbados after it took so long to hear the case the Judge has reserved judgement for 5 years. The victim is still suffering back home with no compensation. (Words deleted)

Gasa is time Luciana start taking to the streets and demand change. March to fem politicians n judges workplaces n homes n wreck havoc demanding that they do their jobs. The girl got slapped with $10,000 bail for leaking photos. But this guy who was armed with a damn rifle (which chances are has been used in other violent crimes) gets bail set at 5000?? Whats the name of the judge? The media needs to step up their game and start exposing these people.

This a big joke! First of all, that guy has absolutely no business getting bail. What message does this send to other gun criminals? The place is in a mess because of poor decisions. Presently, passengers on cruise ships are warned about Castries. Can you believe that? A place that was so laid back and peaceful.

All opinions are good except one. the one that said he is someone’s son. Of course he is.. the one he was robbing isn’t someone’s son too. We all crying foul. Crime all about the place. Difficult to catch the criminals God bring one in .you think he will go free.. They made an example Of his as…..any one who is masked and you get the chance on he / she should be dead period. No mercy. Cause he / she is coming to kill. That’s why they Carry guns.. If he have no guns beat his as….so that it will take him six months before he can sit down. And them judges and magistrates they playing the as…too.
