Soufriere, St. Lucia selected as one of world’s best honeymoon destinations for 2017

Soufriere, St. Lucia was selected as on of the world’s best honeymoon destination by Canada’s largest travel agency – Flight Network.

The online article highlighted how expensive honeymoon destinations can actually be. The article said:

Everyone wants a piece of paradise, and resorts know how to capitalize on that. Don’t let your budget get you down, though. There are some incredible hotels, spas and resorts out there that offer luxury and indulgence at a fraction of the price.

In a list of 22 destinations for under $3500 CAD, St. Lucia is listed as number 4:

The Destination

Soufriere is where the rainforest, Piton mountains and sea meet on the west coast of the famous island, St. Lucia. This area is relatively underdeveloped compared to the rest of the island, so it really will feel like a special, hidden place for you and your partner on your honeymoon.

The name of the town means ‘sulfur’ in French. But, not because of the smell. Instead, this part of the island is home to hot springs and healing mineral baths which you can visit. Other notable spots in the area are the bike and hiking trails overlooking the sea, old sugar plantations and the remarkable Diamond Botanical Gardens.

Soufriere, nice looking little hamlet, but crawling with rats, rapists monkeys & thieves. Not a safe place at all. You can go there if you don’t mind spending your evenings locked in your room.

If soufriere have all the tourist attraction in st lucia. Why is the representative of soufriere letting the town look so run down
Get rid off all the old abandoned buildings and make the town more welcoming for everyone not only tourist but for the people of soufriere. And what about that so call hospital.

Are you for real?? Take a look at Cuba. How many new buildings are the.
In my opinionthe government should leave Soufriere just the way it is. It’s unique that’s what visitors want to see. Natural beauty. Things they don’t have in their island and country.
