Saint Lucia ready for school boys Boxing Championships

Press Release:-Castries, Saint Lucia, May 9, 2017 – Fresh off their recent victory at the OECS Invitational Boxing Championships last month, a five member team has been selected to represent Saint Lucia at the 2017 Caribbean School Boys and Juniors Boxing Championships. This tournament takes place May 12-14 at the National Gymnasium in Guyana.

The team selected to represent Saint Lucia are;

NATHAN FERRARI (Team Captain)

The team coach is Conrad Fredericks. Team Captain Nathan Ferrari was awarded the Best Boxer at this tournament last year.

Saint Lucia`s Julie Bonnet who recently received certification as an AIBA One Star Referee has been invited to officiate at the Championships. Team Saint Lucia will leave the island on Thursday May 11 and returns on Tuesday May 16. Team spirit is higher and the athletes are expected to give great representation at the championships.

The Saint Lucia team recently dethroned Grenada to become OECS Champions at the end of three exciting nights of boxing held here in April.
