Bocage house destroyed by fire

A house at Bocage, Castries, was destroyed by fire today.

Sub Officer Fernando James of the Saint Lucia Fire Service said that  an alarm was raised at around 2pm.

“On arrival with our ambulance and fire suppression units we found one wooden structure fully engulfed,” James explained.

He said firefighters were able to extinguish the fire without any problems.

Neighbours reported that a man and his girlfriend lived in the house which is located behind the Bocage Secondary school.

But they were not at home at the time of the fire.

    It’s like a trend now everyday is a house for wat is going on.

    It is time for houses in St.Lucia to be built with smoke alarms.
