SBDC hosts radio program series

The radio shows provide the information required for formalizing business operations.

The Department of Commerce has partnered with Vybe Radio to host a series of radio programs aimed at sensitizing the general public about its services. This forms part of the advocacy work program of the Small Business Development Center (SDBC) for information sharing on the services it provides to the micro and small business sector.

The radio program also focuses on promoting the ease of doing business, while creating awareness for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on pertinent information required for formalizing their business operations.

Various sections of the department—such as the Consumer Affairs Division, the Commercial Information Center, the Commerce and Industry Division, and the Consumer Affairs Division—have participated in the program, coupled with SBDC network partners such as the Development Control Authority and the Environmental Health Department.

In the future, entrepreneurs will also join in to speak about their business experiences and offer advice to potential and existing entrepreneurs.

To date, the program has been successful and the department is very pleased to have partnered with Vybe Radio in its efforts to promote an entrepreneurial culture in Saint Lucia.
