One dead in Babonneau shooting

One man is reported dead as a result of a shooting incident at Cacao, Babonneau last night after 8:00 pm.

The deceased has been identified as Kim Isidore, also known as ‘Coco’.

Law enforcement sources told the Times that Isidore was playing dominoes with some friends when a masked man walked up and  fired three shots in his direction before running off into the night.

The victim is said to have jumped into his vehicle in an apparent attempt to give chase, but the car crashed into a wall.

Isidore was taken to Victoria Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

As I said in a previous post that black young men seem as if they are becoming an endangered species in St. Lucia. This 25th murder for the year calls for an emergency Cabinet Meeting and a follow-up National Consultation discussion involving the widest cross-section of the community to come up with real solutions to stop this bloodletting. Crime should be the #1 priority not just lip service. To stop this mind boggling phenomenon depends on how much the entire country is willing to put in the necessary effort to end it. Prudent leadership, an unrelenting determination and inclusiveness are required here.

You can have all the consultation that you want. However until you can change the mindset of those young men who follow the American culture which have invaded our land through television and other media who only promote violence and thug lifestyle nothing will change . So parents take hold of your kids early and be a role model for them and don’t let the rap star or the television personality be their role model then we’re finished .

To be honest, the most i can say is that young men and women raise your kids right.if you do not have an idea of teaching a boy how to be a man then don’t make children.i know ppl have their choices but i see alot of parents raising kids with the wrong perspective. All this starts at home.not the government…cannot be…we parents and neighbors, cast an eye on our future. It is ours. (Word deleted)

When they sell vieux fort just now yall go see crime expand……yall think dem governments easy….if our leaders were doing more to help elevate the sick poor and unemployed there would be less crime. No government is concerned enough about development of youth. Look how many of them out there singing……u think is crime they want to do? But when people discourage them and no one nutures them or sets a proper avenue for them…..and stop paying them nothing for their talent while u import the same talent a pay tens of thousands…..suck our economy dry….raise prices while salaries not raising……bills to pay….food to buy…….medication…..toiletries, basic needs like clothes……how many people can say it’s not a struggle. It’s by the grace of God we are not all into drugs, and killing others to survive. It’s time we deal with our leaders instead of killing out each other. That is really sad. And to make it worse….
We all sit and talk with friends and family…oh the government not doing this or look they doing that….so we know where the problem is….but we too scared to stand for our rights….we will kill each other instead of squeezing the balls of those who make it hard for us to survive. That’s really sad to see how we dying like that. R.I.P ……. by DIZZY

Now young men and women do not pray like we use to do long ago but they prefers to be preaching violence when there is an misunderstanding between them.we may pray for them asking God to keep them out of trouble but they them selves do not so change will not come easily.

These are the signs of the end of this system of things. It is foretold in the bible that it will and must get worse before it gets better. So no matter how much we put blame on external forces for the behavior of the young people it will not help. What I do believe we have to do is try to change ourselves and pray that we are on the right side when the war begins. Satan days are numbered so he trying to do as much havoc as he and his demons can before our King and ruler Jesus Christ comes and fight for his followers. Be the change we want to see in the world. No matter how we may perceive things are bad with us there is someone out there that is worse. The true Christians should take the lead. No earthly government can save us because they are human and have their own hidden agenda. Keep praying for your selves and your children and try to draw closer to Jehovah so when this system do come to an end we will see and enjoy paradise.

So now having dreds, gold chain and a sign is a reason to be killed? Ignorance is a very dangerous thing. I guess you should live in a country where being black makes you a target since you have such a mentality.
