Hotel Chef found dead at Massade, Gros Islet

A hotel chef has been found dead at his Massade, Gros Islet home, police say.

The dead man has been identified as 52 year old Frank Paul; an employee of Le Sport Hotel in Cap Estate.

Law enforcement sources tell the Times that the body was found in a state of decomposition and a foul odour was coming from the house.

No foul-play is suspected at this time, police say.

Paul is said to have lived alone.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor.

The police, as police all over the world do, always give preliminary assessments of cases. Stop the police bashing.

Fry Fish, the police are not pathologists. If no foul play was suspected what do you want them to do?

He was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor……REALLY!!!??? Didn’t the smell and state of decomposition enough to indicate he was dead?
Sometimes you reporters amaze me with your level of reporting. SMH.

Actually, according to what I’ve learnt, only a medical doctor can give the official word of death. Yep, in this case too evidently.
