A relative of deceased motorcyclist, Windy Sylvester, believes that Sylvester was the victim of a hit-and-run accident.
The body of the 37 year old was discovered on Friday along the Bexon Highway with lacerations to the right leg, bruises to the left and right arm, the head and the face, according to law enforcement sources.
Sylvester’s motorcycle, PG 6273, was nearby, according to reports.
His cousin, Garvey Joseph, expressed the view that a vehicle hit Sylvester’s motorcycle from behind.
“That man just put up the bike – fresh brakes; no brake impression there,” the cousin declared.
Joseph said concerned relatives had been looking for Sylvester for three days.
“All I know is that he had a piece of money on him that night and he went to a funeral and on the way back that is what happened,” he recalled.
If Joseph’s suspicions are confirmed, it would be the second fatal hit-and-run incident recorded in the past few days.
On Wednesday, taxi driver, Joseph Altidore, died after being hit by a motorcycle near the Bank of Saint Lucia Gros Islet branch shortly before 9.am.
The motorcyclist fled after hitting the 74 year old former police officer.
A suspect was held later the same day by the police.
