Missing Martinique boater found alive

One of two nationals of Martinique who disappeared while traveling to St Lucia by boat last month has been found alive, according to Martinique media reports.

Ismael Nemorin, 26, was found by a cruise ship Monday Morning around 800 kilometers east of Martinique, according to the French website 1ere.

Nemorin along with Christophe Quimper, alias ‘Bato’ were reported missing shortly after setting sail for St Lucia on May 19, 2017.

The French news site 1ere reports that the captain of a cruise ship saw the boat drifting after being alerted by rescuers.

Investigators are reportedly trying to identify a second person who was found on the boat, the website says.

Initial reports suggest that the men’s 9-meter boat ran out of fuel.

Ran out of fuel? Few things are worse than giving the “Stupid” a boat. But still good news, nonetheless.
