Furniture Workers Vote for Unionization

PRESS RELEASE:-Workers employed with Classic Furnitures Ltd. participated in a secret ballot exercise Friday June 16, 2017. The exercise was conducted by officials from the Department of Labour.

Ninety two percent (92%) of the workers voted in favour of having their industrial relations interest handled by the National Workers Union (NWU).

Mr. Andrew Quashie, represented the Department of Labour, Mr. Johann Harewood, the National Workers Union (NWU) and Mr. Dennis Mangal represented the Company.

The NWU is now awaiting a Recognition Certificate from the Department of Labour.

Classic Furnitures Limited operates in the Dennery Industrial Zone.
