Welcome to the land where Chastenet, Butch and Teo are Kings. Where crime is not an issue because it hasn’t affected them yet. Wait till it hits home see if Hermangild Francis wouldn’t get his act together.

Actually, the Bible tells us; lawlessness will increase. Not one idea will change what God has spoken. We need to work on changing hearts. Loving others is a start, showing compassion, but at the same time, people must know they are responsible for their own choices and will reap the consequences as we all must do.

Everyone is a target. These are professional thieves. These robberies are well planned long in advance. The police should search the homes and person of every known bandit. The presence of the police should be seen and felt more often on the street. Ordinary citizens have to play their part by feeding law enforcement with information about criminal activities. If these hoodlums are not apprehended, they would become more emboldened and strike again probably with lethal consequences.

In any large organization there are going to be some bad apples. The majority of police officer are good people. A few droplets of dirty water don’t make the ocean dirty. We are quick to badmouth the police by accentuating the bad and downplaying the good they do. There are means where you can give information anonymously. Most crimes are usually solved by tips from the public. Without the public’s assistance, crime would always remain high.

    Just a thought.
Expats, “good” or “bad” often come back home (either willingly or unwillingly) and end up using the skills that they acquired overseas right here at home…

What are the political leaders doing about this lawlessness in St. Lucia. Are they allowing the thugs to take over the island? Clearly 911 priority is needed in this area. Evidently priorities are seriously not clear to those who are charged with taking care of the island. Tourism will be seriously affected in this age of social media as well as the safety of law abiding citizens. Oh God please help St. Lucia and it’s citizens in a special way. It appears oh God that you alone can fix this. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

When Compton and Kenney was there we do not have the lawlessness we currently have. Never to this degree. Point is the current Government is quiet on the issues. The concerned Heads of the Institution should address the issues at hand. The heads of the other West Indian Islands are tackling their issues. Why not St Lucia????
