The mother of shooting victim, Simon Lubin, has called on Saint Lucians to stop the hating.
Simon was shot on Grass Street on Saturday.
“Let’s get together and stop the hating. Stop throwing stones and stop going to the obeah man because he is not going to work for you – it is the Almighty that is in charge,” Cynthia Lubin declared.
She called on the ‘church people’ and ‘prayer warriors’ to go out in the ghettoes rather than stay in church and talk.
“Let us evangelise to the young people – they need help,” the mother said.
She called on her son’s attackers to change their lives and look to the Almighty for help in doing so.
Lubin was also critical of her detractors.
She has accused them of taking to Facebook to say the wrong things about her.
“If you all know how to intercede with God and if you all know how to pray and if you all only know the Father I serve how he is working, you all won’t be talking what you all saying on Facebook,” Cynthia Lubin told reporters Monday.
She described her son as a child of favour by the Almighty.
“My child is a child of purpose and no weapon formed against my child shall prosper and every tongue that rises against my child shall be condemned in judgement,” the mother declared.
She said God is in control of her son’s condition.
“ I have no power – no authority – only God,” the mother explained.
She said she was happy for the faith God has given her to go through ‘the battle’.
She explained that her son was ‘fine by the grace of God.’
“Through grace he is okay – he is stable,” the mother disclosed.
Cynthia described herself as someone who is known to be a strong woman in Christ and who will not give up.
“There is a lot of jealousy,” she said in response to a question as to why her son would have been targetted.
However Cynthia declared that everyone has to go at some time but noted that they do not know the day or the hour.
“To all Saint Lucians, especially those praying for my son from overseas – and I want to thank all the church people who are together with me and I want to thank all prayer warriors,” she stated.
The mother explained that she saw her son, Simon, on Saturday morning when she gave him a testimony since God had given her a message for him.
“Anything I vision something it is not fake, so I had already vision a lot of things but to God be the glory – my son is blessed,” Cynthia declared.
