Friends of Cayne Mange murder victim, Ike Ephraim, are demanding justice in the aftermath of the death of the twenty-seven year old.
A group of four friends of the deceased who recently came down from Canada were at court in Gros Islet Tuesday morning when the accused in Ephraim’s murder, Lester Daniel of Morne Du Don, made his first appearance.
Daniel, in handcuffs and escorted by an armed police officer, was remanded in custody at Bordelais Correctional Facility until July 12.

“Ike was like a brother to me – he is very close to me; I grew up with him – I raised him as a matter of fact for a number of years,” one of the friends said.
He said he considered Ike a brother.
The friend, who spoke on condition of anonymity, stated that he expects justice will prevail.
“Whoever did this gruesome act to Ike – let the Lord deal with them accordingly,” he declared.
Ephraim’s body was discovered in a drain at Caye Mange last week.
It has been alleged that he was beaten up and his body later dumped in the community.
It was Saint Lucia’s 28th homicide for the year.
