IRD department temporary closure

GIS:-The Large-Medium Section Will be Closed From June 26 to July 2.

The Inland Revenue Department wishes to inform the general public that the Large-Medium Section of the department currently located on Manoel Street (formerly the VAT office) will be relocated from Monday, June 26.

The Section will now be located on the third floor at the Bank of Saint Lucia Financial Centre on Bridge Street, Castries. To facilitate the relocation, the Large-Medium Section will be closed from June 26 to July 2. The office will reopen to serve the public from Monday, July 3.

In the interim, our Large and Medium clients are asked to transact all tax matters at the Waterfront branch on the third floor of the Heraldine Rock Building. For information visit the Inland Revenue Department, or call 758.468.4714, 758.468.4766 or 758.468.4735.

    And whatever negligible benefit will be rail roaded by the increase in has next month!

    I for one would have said keep the vat rate as is and use the money to do good for the country and keep gas prices at a normalized rate, taking into account major fluctuations in the world market of course.

    St lucians don’t realise that a increase in has prices will will reflected in not just an increase for the motoring public but an increase in electricity, increase in the cost of goods at the supermarket, increases that will affect the general public and not just the ones with vehicles.
