An inmate at the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF), is said to be in good shape Saturday, after reportedly attempting suicide on Friday.
“He is doing fine,” a source told the Times.
The inmate, Junior Duncan, was rushed to the Dennery Hospital after swallowing a quantity of pills, the Times was reliably informed.
According to well informed sources, Duncan was given the medication to use as part of treatment for a gunshot wound he sustained on Thursday morning.
BCF officials said they opened fire at Duncan and another inmate after the duo attacked another prisoner and then turned on a prison response team.
According to the BCF officials, they had previously exhausted all other means of subduing Duncan and his accomplice, including the use of pepper spray.
Duncan sustained a ‘flesh wound’ to the region of the shoulder, the Times was informed.
