GIS:-The Goal of the Workshop is to Strengthen Business Literacy and Financial Education Among Entrepreneurs.
The Department of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs in collaboration with the Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation (SBFIC) is currently hosting a seven-day “Train-The-Trainer” workshop in Financial Skills for Business Planning.
The goal of this workshop is to bridge the divide between the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector and the local banking sector, by strengthening business literacy and financial education among business owners and entrepreneurs. The training will improve the ability of Business Support Officers to provide advice and coaching to local business owners in the area of Financial Management.
The training will be conducted by a consultant of the SBFIC and provided to officers of the Department of Commerce, the James Belgrave Micro Enterprise Development Fund (BELFUND) Inc., the Saint Lucia Industrial and Small Business Association (SLISBA), the Saint Lucia Chamber of Commerce, and the Trade Export Promotion Agency (TEPA).
The workshop will be held on July 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 12 and 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the conference room of the Finance Administrative Centre, on the 5th floor, Pointe Seraphine, Castries.
