Two in custody after death of Soufriere man

Two suspects are in police custody following the death Monday of a mentally challenged Soufriere man who is believed to have been beaten up, the Times has been informed.

According to sources familiar with the case, a man and a woman were taken into police custody Tuesday evening.

They are being questioned in connection with the death of Julian Henry, also known as ‘Norway’.

Last week, Henry was found ‘almost unresponsive’ in a shack in Soufriere  and was transported by an ambulance to the Soufriere Hospital.

He had injuries to the head and body, it was reported.

Henry was later transferred to St Jude Hospital where he died.

It is believed that the deceased and a woman were in an altercation when a male individual intervened and assaulted him.

I wish to express sincerest condolences to the relatives of the victim. May God bring solace to your grieving hearts. I hope the police have the two perpetrators who actually committed this dastardly crime. No mercy should be shown to them. Despicable miscreants!
