Everyone needs a respite from work. Let the man get some time to rejuvenate and reenergize himself for the arduous tasks ahead. Be fair, stop being hypercritical.

Like seriously? Some people talk nonsense so much that they even talk (Word deleted) the man is a public servant and weather it be kenny or chastanet, peep or guy, don’t they all need a vacation? For God’s sake if some of the cretics want to criticize then do it respectfully and positively. This is how you’ll earn respect. Not by talking (Word deleted). smh

Everyone is entitled to their vacation but as a leader when your ship is about to sink and you request vacation it says alot about your leadership. Interesting but not surprising.

Very good comment. Those who are writing in support of the PM taking vacation at this time, know very well, that vacation leave is always being deferred under certain circumstances. They also know that there are times when a staff member is offered pay in lieu of leave, because it might be too inconvenient for the staff member to take leave at a certain time. They know, too, of the many months of accumulated leave certain workers have, simply because it has been difficult for them to schedule their leave, due to pressing work situations. Yet, these blind supporters are saying that this notwithstanding, the PM can take his leave when he wants, as he wants. So much for sacrifice.

The best question is, who is paying for his vacation, himself or the wonderful tax payers. Who would you say?

No one has to pay him for his vacation. Paying for vacation is only one outcome of people’s inability to take leave at a particular time. Another outcome is rescheduling of the leave to a more convenient moment. Why did you not speak to this possibility ? The Prime Minister should NOT be paid in lieu of vacation leave. Instead, he should reschedule his leave, or stagger it in smaller portions over a period of time. After all, he is not an ordinary public servant. So please don’t stick on “pay” , as if to suggest that one is recommending that tax payers pay for the man’s vacation leave. By all means, take your leave, but do so at a time that is convenient, from a NATIONAL perspective, not from a PERSONAL perspective. Be careful what you defend, because you are establishing a PRINCIPLE which should hold true for every Tom, Dick, and Harry.

Are yo stupid, you really think that he is paying for his vacation. You are stupid. The question was,, Who is paying for his vacation not if he is getting paid on vacation. Who is funding your pm vacation.
