GIS:-Parents Must Submit Completed Application Forms to Initiate the Process.
The Department of Education, Innovation and Gender Relations has released the dates and locations for the distribution of the $500 bursary cheques awarded to children who recently sat the Common Entrance Exams and who will be proceeding to a secondary school.
The Minister for Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development, Hon Dr Gale Rigobert stated that cheques can be collected, but only after parents have ensured that they have submitted the completed application forms to initiate the process at the District Education Office serving the school that their child or ward had attended.
“The schedule runs like this: District 7 at the Piaye Secondary School on July 26 from 10 a.m. District 8 will collect from the Soufriere Primary School on July 26 at 10 a.m. District 5(a) will collect their cheques at the Grand Riviere Secondary School on July 27 at 10 a.m. District 5(b) will proceed to the Micoud Secondary School on July 27 at 10 a.m. District 1(a) will collect their cheques at the Gros Islet Primary School on July 28. District 1(b) will collect at the Babonneau Secondary School on July 28 from 10 a.m.
“Parents from District 4 are invited to the John Odlum Secondary School on July 31. District 6, at the Vieux Fort Technical Secondary School on July 31 at 10 a.m. District 2 you shall proceed to the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School on Aug 2 at 10 a.m. District 3 will collect at the Entrepot Secondary School on Aug. 2 from 10 a.m.”
