Saint Lucia Named on Top Caribbean Islands List

Press Release:-Travel + Leisure, a leading US travel publication, has named Saint Lucia as one of the best Caribbean islands to visit.

The magazine has just released the results of its 2017 World’s Best Awards Survey and Saint Lucia emerged as one of its leading Caribbean vacation destinations.

Every year, Travel + Leisure asks its readers to share and rate their holiday experiences from around the world. Readers are invited to give their opinions on categories such as hotels and resorts, spas, sights and attractions, food, friendliness and general value for money.

Based on readers’ feedback and rating, Travel + Leisure then produces its annual top list of premier places to visit and experience.

For its Top Islands in the Caribbean list, the publication cited some key characteristics that these destinations shared such as secluded beaches, luxurious resorts and spas, and off-the-beaten-track experiences and sites.

With a score of 82.6 out of 100, Saint Lucia emerged ahead of Barbados and other OECS countries except for Anguilla that got 86.8.

Travel + Leisure highlighted the fact that travelers were attracted to destinations that offered more than the typical tourist experience of sun, sea and sand. Saint Lucia continues to be a favourite because it offers unique attractions such as the iconic twin peaks, the Pitons, the world’s only drive-in volcano and the Sulphur Springs mud baths.

The magazine also named Jade Mountain in its top 100 hotels in the world with the hotel coming in at number 25, an outstanding achievement for the locally owned property

The same way we call Obama african-American when in fact his roots are Kenyan. ..ppl simply get owned by others because they identify as that country weather by birth or naturalized.

This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised them before the world began.

We as St.luciabs need to stop selling our property to foreigners. Our children will not have the opportunity that we had of living there. China won’t sell all its most valuable land to blacks. Europe won’t sell their most valuable land to blacks. We as blacks are the only race that does not have a nation governed and controlled by our own people. Wake up my people.

Words of wisdom. If you have land and you’re hungry and you don’t have anything to take care of your children. What are you going to do. Instead of leaving the land for the children ..when you died what’s going to happened. Will the children sell the land and take care of your grave ? Can someone comment on that ?

Watch your tongues! The only reason St. Lucia exists is through the generosity of the white tourists. Don’t bite the hand that feeds us. We need them far more than they need us. Educate you self.

“If you have land and you’re hungry and you don’t have anything to take care of your children….”
RIDICULOUS!!! so tell me, are you going to give up your assets for nothing to get scraps to care your children? Be enterprising and use your assets to care your children, it is yours after all. let’s get away from this slavery mentality to have white men and other foreigners think for us and use us.

As a white tourist, it’s interesting to read your comments. My husband and I vacationed in St.Lucia in the 1990’s. We visited the volcano, went by Margot Bay on a tour, and visited a nice sand beach, to swim. We loved many things about St. Lucia.
