Dominican national shot during drug bust

A Dominican national was shot Friday night during a drug bust at sea, law enforcement sources have told the Times.

The incident occurred some time before 9 pm after a boat with two engines was intercepted about 2.5 nautical miles off Vieux Fort, according to reports.

It is reported that there were two individuals aboard the vessel.

They were identified as Brian Mayers of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Alick Puyol of Dominica.

Puyol sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder during the police operation and was admitted to St Jude Hospital, law enforcement sources told the Times.

Police recovered about 900 pounds of cannabis from the vessel, according to reports.

Good job guys.. We the Saint Lucian populace are proud of your efforts at safeguarding us. We are appreciative of your putting yourselves in harms way, in the dead of the night, on our behalf.. I can only imagine, that as Buju said, “It’s not an easy road”. I simply ask that you continue doing what good work that you do… We need you… We thank you.. Blessings your way..

There are these videos of Scott Atkins going around on social media… He seems to have been kidnapped by Venezuelan nationals, and the video shows him being tortured severely.. Why? Because of this freaking drug trade…. Screw all y’all bad minded, drug pusher encouraging, mother suckered out there, who have nothing worthwhile to say… I am freaking upset that police officers like myself, put ourselves on the line, stand in harms way, in the dead of night, in the worst circumstances imaginable, to try to uphold the freaking law; but some of you dead beats out there can’t see our efforts for what it is… “He’s a good boy!” HE’S ALWAYS A FREAKING GOOD BUY!!!!!

The officers did a great job in busting those criminals bringing drugs into our already corrupted St Lucia. But that is just the beginning for neither were St Lucians. Therefore the drugs would have been delivered to someone /group of people if not busted. The question is who. Police now need to use technology to find out who. Go through their phone contacts see who they’ve been talking to and start questioning. It is time to put a stop to all of those criminals. Have them respect our country and know who is in charge.
