Press Release:–Gros Islet, Saint Lucia (July 27th, 2017): The Landings Resort and Spa has undertaken ambitious and far reaching community outreach programmes aimed at poverty reduction, development of the arts and culinary fields, the empowerment of women and youth enrichment.
With key milestones achieved in the first half of the year including a Women’s Day Dinner honouring unsung heroes, Jazz on the Beach showcasing local artistes and culinary training for secondary school students, its dedicated team are ready to serve the community with its five-star appeal for the second half of the year.

The students would train under the culinary, front desk, spa and housekeeping departments, acquiring crucial skills needed to excel in the hospitality industry.
When asked about their experience so far, the student trainees noted that they are gaining a better understanding of the hospitality industry and were happy for the opportunity afforded by the Landings.
On hand to add to the already established training programme for student interns and staff in the kitchen, was 10 year veteran and guest Trainee Pastry Chef Julian Broome who added that, ‘the team has been welcoming and eager to learn new techniques showing the abundance of local produce readily available in Saint Lucia’.
