GIS:-The Three-Week Summer Camp will be Held in August.
A teen fashion camp designed to stimulate the creative skills of the youth will be held this summer. The aim is to provide an opportunity for teens who wish to pursue a career in the fashion industry.
The summer camp will be hosted by LBM designs, a clothing company owned and managed by Lyn Bristol. She devised the idea last year, after attending a four-day fashion merchandising workshop in Guadeloupe, and a CDF theatre summer camp where she facilitated costume design.
Fashion camp participants will get to witness, hands-on, the fashion sector at work. Ms Bristol has arranged visits to Saint Lucian businesses within the fashion industry, with industry professionals on hand to offer advice and showcase their skills. The participants will also learn and experience the rudiments of fashion design and merchandising. In addition, they will gain insight into how fashion shows are envisaged, conducted and produced. Participants will also be inducted into the regulations of branding, style trends, portfolio building, fashion etiquette, and more.
The teen fashion summer camp will be held from Aug. 7 – 25.
