The Uncle of homicide victim, Davidson Eagarnes, has said that the 21-year old who was stabbed to death on the Micoud Playing Field on Monday night was ‘very troublesome’.
“To tell you the truth, he was very troublesome and I was always talking to him,” the uncle, Bendan Desir explained.
However, Desir disclosed that it had been a while since he had heard from his nephew.
According to him, Egarnes had declared that he wanted to keep out of trouble.
“Davidson telling you :’Outside there have a lot of nice girls ‘ and he want to avoid them problem things because he don’t want to go to prison – just because of them nice girls there,” Desir told reporters.
He said the deceased and his alleged attacker used to be friends.
Desir felt that the motive for the fatal stabbing on the Micoud Playing Field was ‘jealousy.’
“Because the man have a big gold chain on his neck, they try to rob the man chain of course,” the uncle declared.
The alleged attacker, identified as a seventeen year old, is reported to have turned himself in to police shortly after the stabbing.
Relatives of the deceased have alleged that the same youngster had stabbed Egarnes multiple times last year.
