UWP Calls on Joachim Henry to answer burning questions or resign

Press Release:-The United Workers Party remains concerned over the silence of Senator Joachim Henry into the alleged mismanagement of funds of the National Lotteries Authority during the time MP for Denney North Shawn Edwards had oversight over the organization.

Documents in the public domain reveal that that there was a direct conflict of interest between the Senator, who was first the director of the Saint Lucia Social Development Fund and then the St Lucia Labour Party Candidate for Castries South East and the Lotteries Authority.

Senator Henry must clarify the following: 1. Did he receive contracts from the Lotteries Authority whilst he was the Director of the Saint Lucia Social Development Fund? 2. Did he use his position as the Director of the SSDF to get inside information of the programmes of the Lotteries and use that information to prepare project proposal for the lotteries that he was paid consultancy to oversee? 3. Did he use any drawings of projects belonging to the SSDF as part of his project proposal to the National Lottery that he was paid for? 4. Did he receive over two hundred thousand dollars payments in advance from the Ministers account to oversee Lottery projects that were never completed whilst being a candidate of the St Lucia Labor Party a few weeks before the last elections?

We again call on the St Lucia Labour Party to stop playing political games by saying all the right things but doing all the wrong things. We demand that the Leader of the Opposing Hon Philip J
Pierre do the right thing and ask Senator Henry to resign if the answer is yes to any of the above questions asked. We again remind him of his statements earlier this month when he said “every political party and government should set standards to oversee the behavior of their officials and if they fall short, they should resign.”

The United Workers Party maintains its full support of the Current Administration and will support its mandate of Building a better St Lucia for All Saint Lucians.

UWP is seriously sickening me now. Why don’t they get to the business of running the country and stopping all the corruption going on in their camp? How did we end up with this farce of a governmet!!! Surely we are the laughing stock of the world!

How do we have time to do our job to the best of our abilities when we are constantly in a quest for others’ past transgressions?

Really, if we were going to recover the misused funds, and have it go to something important, I would sign up twice….

I agreed, the government should push to find the truth, likewise when the SLP was pushing on the now prime minister

“St Lucia Labour Party to stop playing political games by saying all the right things but doing all the wrong things” Such a truthfull statement. Both political teams play those games though but the SLP is far more accomplished.

This is bloody ridiculous! Instead of asking Mr. Henry for answers, all UWP has to do is take him and others they claimed did “borbol” to court and case closed. Y’all can get all the answers y’all want.

Mr. Henry has nothing to answer cause he does not hold a seat of power. Further, this press release is just bul$h!1T! Get your useless ministers to work for the people and stop with this foolishness!

United workers party cant take anybody to court uwp and the governmwnt are two separate entities. Uwp can beat their ass all they want but thats all they can do if the government was serious they would do something about it. The mix up is when ministers find wrong doing and instead of doing something about it they go back to their political parties and its used as pawol.

I’m convinced more than ever that all politicians are expert liars. They lie so much that when people believe their statements they are most surprised. It’s time to stop tarnishing people’s names. If the government have the ‘goods’ on former Ministers of Government, take them before a magistrate or judge. In opposition, these politicians are so convincing but when they attain the reign of government, they are what we find in babies’ diapers.

i must go do my aw degree and start letting these issues play out in the court room instead of on social media, Mary Francis you are a lawyer why not target these guys instead of defending criminals, if you do so justice might filter down to those you trying to defend. Only crime pays in St Lucia more than other places. when will we see any politician go to jail for crimes against the state, time this f*ckery ends, both parties stealing our monies and we like a bunch of monkeys waiting for one of them to give us a banana
