Baptiste urges diplomacy to end Venezuela crisis

Former Foreign Minister, Alva Baptiste, has urged that a diplomatic solution be found to the current problems in Venezuela.

Baptiste told St Lucia Times  that internal conflicts in any country represent a very unhealthy situation because they undermine the cohesion and stability necessary to sustain development.

“Internal conflicts can quickly cause a country to descend into economic and social chaos,” Baptiste stated.

He declared that it was therefore in the interest of this hemisphere to encourage, through diplomatic engagement and peaceful means, the resolution of the ‘impasse’ in Venezuela.

Baptiste said it was very important to resist the temptation to interfere in Venezuela’s internal affairs.

“There is no doubt in my mind that CARICOM must continue to encourage peaceful resolution to this problem and always assume the posture that we must not interfere or encourage anyone to interfere in the internal affairs of Venezuela,” he declared.

For all who would like to decry the current Venezuelan leadership, please do some research and you will see and know who are the people behind the chaos. It all began when Chavez privatized “Big OIL”. You will see that it is Big Business and “The Mighty Bully” who are behind it all!

Get to know for yourselves and do not allow Allen “The Hurricane” to think for you.
