Man shot dead at Ravine Poisson

A forty-one year old man, identified by law enforcement sources as Sherwin Auguste, known as Shervy, has been shot dead at Ravine Poisson.

According to information, the incident occurred at around 9. pm.

Sources told St Lucia Times that so far, no motive has been determined for the fatal shooting of the Vanard resident.

However a resident of the area said that apparently the victim was by a shop when the assailant, dressed in black, came up to him.

“People say they heard six shots and then the guy ran down the road into a car,” the resident stated.

“The shopkeeper got a shot in her leg I am told, and is at the hospital right now and the guy was on the ground. I could see two shots visibly – one on his right side by his upper rib cage and the other one on his right shoulder,” the resident said, adding that the victim was bleeding from the mouth.

“Everybody is in shock,” the resident added.

Instead of my prime minister trying to build and buy land for a new cultural center,he should put that monies into fughting crime in St.lucia.These son of a bitches need to be stopped, when will we have SSU go into these ghettos and put these criminals to justice. Not kill them and weep out these guns from underground where they hide them and all these fake pit toilets stored with guns and Ganja. These criminals are killers they murder people and get away.We need Cctv cameras everywhere dogs to sniff out the drugs and them criminals out of their Rat holes, the slumsor Garrison what ever they call their. And put cameras in the ghettos to. bastards.A man without hands how can you justify killing a man without hands and without a weapon cowards. And you’ll see the killer dressin black, youll did not see a face. And is time youll bring back fogging, you’ll have to much fredom no rights and youll get no justice, and w need ligts in these communities and to much bush and youll need Led Video Display System to cover the whole of St.kucia.These criminals aint Boss you’ll made them boss.youll created these Monsters St.lucia get you’ll shit together.

      And you need help Sharon!

Try some logical thinking and typing whilst at it.

CCTV can not prevent the crime from happening in the first.

It’s a reactive tool not a proactive deterrent.

You can have a CCTV on the corner of every street in the ghetto it doesn’t mean they will stop the crime.

Think of this for one second and think logically please don’t strain your brain, can the face of a masked man be viewed from being captured on CCTV!

Shervy was changing is life around. He was even going to church. Why did they have to kill him father.

Oh my dear child Shervy committed atrocities in the past and while he may have been making attempts to chance Karma had already set sail. There is nothing I could have done my dear to stop her.

Heart-felt sympathy to the relatives and friends of the deceased. The vast majority of these murders are gun related. Undoubtedly we have a problem with a proliferation of guns on the streets. It’s therefore imperative that a concerted effort is made by law enforcement to gather the necessary intelligence to stop these illegal weapons and ammunition from entering the country. There must be the strictest vigilance at the air and the sea ports. The borders are too porous and security should be beefed up. More resources should go to law enforcement to improve investigative techniques, evidence gathering, forensic training, more officers on the beat, more police vehicles. Most of all, law officers need the assistance of all law abiding citizens.

I don’t want to state the obvious, but crime seems to escalating, and nothing seems to be done about it. The police are woefully under resourced and de-motivated, no determined action from the government, poor St Lucia is fast going downhill with each day that passes.
