Pharmacist followed to the bank: Loses $90,000 money bag

Trinidad Express:-A SAN Fernando pharmacist was robbed of $90,000 near a bank on Monday.

The victim was on his way to deposit the cash when he was accosted by the thief.

The robbery occurred at around 8 a.m. near Scotia Bank in Marabella.

The thief held the pharmacist at gunpoint as he exited his vehicle with the money bag.

He escaped in a waiting black Nissan X-trail.

Officers of the Marabella Police Station and Southern Division Task Force responded.

A vehicle fitting the description of the getaway vehicle was found abandoned in Battoo Lands half an hour after the crime.

However the cash was not recovered and no one was arrested.

The vehicle was impounded and expected to be dusted for fingerprints.
