Belle Vue elects a New Executive for the Belle Vue Development Committee

PRESS RELEASE:-The Belle Vue Development Committee is pleased to announce that a new executive has been elected to preside over the affairs of the organization for the next two years. This new executive was elected at the Annual General Meeting of the organization which was held on 5th September, 2017 at the Belle Vue Human Resource Development Centre. After voting via secret ballots the residents of Belle Vue, Vieux-Fort elected the following persons to constitute the leadership of the organization:

Anita Felix – President

Alex Alexander – Vice President

Melanie Aldonza – Secretary

Keitha O’ Brian – Assistant Secretary

Rakeem Poleon – Treasurer

Gillian Poleon – Public Relations Officer.

Six floor members were selected to assist the executive with the execution of their duties. The floor members are as follows: JeanLuc Joseph, Tiffany Flood, Vincent London, Beniah Poleon, Christine Simeon and Damian William. This election of a new executive and selection of floor members were presided over by an official from the Ministry of Equity, Social Justice, Empowerment, Youth Development Sports, Culture and Local Government.

The new executive has vowed to continue building on the foundation laid by the previous executive as it relates to branding Belle Vue, Vieux-Fort as the Cultural Capital of St. Lucia, implementing programmes and activities aimed at empowering the lives of persons who reside in Belle Vue, and advocating to better programmes and policies on behalf of the residents of Belle Vue. As such the new executive encourages the residents of Belle Vue to join the organization and exercise their love for the community by getting involved in activities which advance the growth and development of the community. Also, the executive would like to thank everyone who attended the Annual General Meeting and corporate organizations that have supported the work of the organization over the years.
