UWP Remembers Sir John’s Legacy

Press Release:Today marks a very sad day for us as a nation as we mark the 10th anniversary of the death of the Father of the Nation, Sir John George Melvin Compton.

Like Sir John’s family, we wish to celebrate his life and legacy and the impact he had on developing Saint Lucia. Sir John led our nation through some of the most tumultuous times in our history and the evidence of his great leadership is all around us.

The United Workers Party, which Sir John created, today recognizes the greatness of Sir John and we call on all Saint Lucians to reflect on the legacy of this giant of a man.
