Request for Assistance Post Hurricane Irma

Request for Assistance Post Hurricane Irma

PRESS RELEASE:-In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma to a number of our sister OECS Islands, an urgent request for Building Material specifically ply wood and lumber (2X4) has been made, as priority needs at this time.  The Chamber Secretariat thus is making an urgent appeal to the Business Community who trade in these products to make known your willingness and ability donate in that regard.

These Building Supplies can be delivered to the NEMO Offices in Bisee at your earliest convenience, as there is an extremely urgent need. The Government of Venezuela is providing emergency air transport to move these and other goods urgently to Antigua from where it will be transmitted to the islands where needed.

We have asked NEMO and the OECS to be as specific as they can be with their requests so that appropriate responses and contributions can be made.

Should you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce at tel. 4523165.

I thank you for your usual kind support.

It’s a shame that no one can point to a website where ppl can donate money. You guys need to tap the diaspora and others who are willing to donate money. Get with the times!
