Two males wounded in Bocage shooting

Two male individuals were wounded in a shooting incident at Bocage this Monday evening (September 11), law enforcement sources have confirmed.

The incident occurred after 7:25 pm, according to reports.

A resident of the area told St Lucia Times that he was in his bed when he heard about eleven gunshots.

It is reported that one of the injured men ran to a house in the neighbourhood for assistance.

A law enforcement source told St Lucia Times that both injured men were transported to hospital.

The motive for the latest shooting is unclear.

It comes in the wake of a double murder in the early hours of Saturday morning in which Shane Augustin, 21, and David Khodra, 28, were gunned down at La Clery.

Hours later  at around 2:00 pm on the same day there was a shooting at Riverside Road in which a man identified as Kennedy Dantes sustained a gunshot wound to the ankle, police said.

Maybe the police planted them. Maybe they don’t really have any guns in the ghettos and in the hands of these low life criminals. Maybe it is all staged. The police just making it seem that they killing each other with guns. Just maybe.

ITS NONSENSE EVERY DAY A SHOOTING.
THAT’S MY IDEA THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD ADOPT A NEW STRUCTURE OF METHOD. AND I QUOTE AND QUOTE, ASK EVERY BODY THE OWN A GUN TO BRING IT IN NO QUESTIONS ASKED, AND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS PER GUNS. THE AFTER IF YOU ARE CAUGHT WITH AN UNLICENSED GUN FIFTH YEARS IN PRISON. NO APPEALS. AND AFTER FIVE TO STAY OUT OF ANY KIND OF TROUBLE. IF TROUBLE FIVE YEARS IN JAIL AGAIN.

Chastanet lied and stated he can stop crime. Now deal with 40 murders in less than 6 months. Chastanet, you must completely destroy our once prosperous nation until your supporters understand what an Evil pale face Pig you are.

Such hypocracy! Crime should never be politicized but the fact is that the previous government, especially KD and LaCorbiniere were blamed for everything that happen. Talk show hosts included! The new government (Chastenet) made statements condemning KD and the SLP that they couldn’t keep St Lucia safe and that we/he will. Now? Silence! Probably the most unsafe our society has been. What about the Impacs report? The police voted heavily for this regime! SMDH.
    GO FIGURE! Facts!

Everyone talking about crime crime. The police are the main culprits in all this cause they selling guns and drugs. Once u with them its OK and if u not with them they set u up to go jail or kill u. They did it to a family member of mine . saint Lucia is bleeding and the police force and most not all member are dirty and very very dangerous

Your family member must have been a criminal, one like those kill all over the place. If you have the information that police are selling drugs and firearms then be a good citizen and give up the information so they can be dealt with. But if you are just talking which I believe you are then shut the hell up.

The police force is a reflection of our society. A corrupt society will produce a high percentage of corrupt young men and women. The police weren’t dropped from space.
