The Opposition SLP and its supporters take Saint Lucia to a new low

Press Release:-(Unitedpac Stlucia) Many St Lucians and sadly, one or two media professionals have taken issue with a decision by the UWP Administration to offer to house three (3) prisoners from the hurricane ravaged BVI. Clearly, we continue to suffer from selective amnesia.

Was it not the Dr. Kenny Anthony Administration in 2004 which offered to house over 20 prisoners from a hurricane ravaged Grenada?
Where were the current voices to oppose it then? As we would recall, many praised Dr. Kenny Anthony for his generous gesture.
Now before you give a sad argument about a comparison of the population of Bordelais in 2004 as opposed to 2017, might I remind you that the current PM, Mr. Allen Chastanet, only offered to house 3 prisoners from an acceptance of up to 50, should the BVI choose.
Let’s not forget that Grenada also rescued us from a dire need to house our prisoners after fire had damaged parts of the Castries Prison while Bordelais was being constructed.
Clearly, we choose to remember what we want simply because we do not like the current prime minister. Nothing he does will ever satisfy us. Had he offered to take in the homeless, we would complain and say that he should use his hotel.
Had he offered to take in students, we would complain and say that he is adding an extra burden on the economy of the country. Will anything he does be ever enough? I really don’t think so. For now, I will just encourage him to remain human and do the best he can, while his critics continue to find their humanity, if they ever do find it that is.
Again, in case you forget, please read the press statement issued by Earl Bousquet from the Office of the Prime Minister on September 23rd, 2004.

I blame the people of Micoud for Chastanet. They put him on our backs. And they need to remove him. We are tired of this government. Tired of their disgusting behaviour in and out of the house of Parliament.

You mean that’s the only thing that could awaken you from your sleep and slumber? I was starting to think you were gone once and for all. After all there have been a great many issues you could have added your voice to but mysteriously you remained quiet.

It is interesting you are able to target Earl the way you do. What is agonising about it is you do it with no shame. You see at least up to this day Earl is well visible. He makes his point and remain open for criticism and ridicule and shaming. However one can’t say that about you. Who are you? Why have you got to operate like some off shoot of the illuminati? If you are pro St Lucia as you claim to be show us your broad shoulder and reveal your identity.

  5. WHAT?

Really? What a shame you are all so negative. I think you all need to wake. The only thing to shrug off your backs is Satan and you all need a good dose of Irma to keep you quiet. PM, do what God put you there to do, and when he removes you, he will put someone else there to do WHAT HE WANTS THEM TO DO. I don’t know why people believe that is is ‘they’ who installs removes governments.

We had it good. Then the people wanted the the devil. So God gave them the Devil. Hence why God is allowing this Chastanet to teach the people of St. Lucia a lesson. But will they learn their lesson? Oh No!

God never installs or removes any Government. This is BS. God allows and grants idiots their wishes.

Not all critics of the government are SLP supporters. This assumption is most preposterous. My simple point is this. The UK has the wherewithal to take care of most of the problems of its dependencies in the Caribbean that were ravaged by Irma. Why should it be allowed to abdicate its duty? Grenada is a sovereign State, not entitled to any assistance from any colonial power. So that line of argument is facetious at best. The problem with you (the writer), because of your blind political support for the ruling party, you are unable to think rationally and objectively on national issues. Your singular aim is to provide cover for the government with every misstep they make.
