Sanitation workers arrested for drugs

Three sanitation workers employed by a private company in Vieux Fort were arrested Thursday for the possession of marijuana.

Law enforcement sources told St Lucia Times that the three were held outside Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) at around 12:30 pm, after a routine search of the garbage truck in which they had arrived to collect garbage from the facility  was conducted.

A quantity of cannabis was found hidden beneath a floor mat.

According to reports, none of the men took responsibility for the drugs.

The  three were arrested and taken to the Dennery Police Station.

There is another issue. Is that the facility we want to bring in hardened foreign criminals from BVI, the same facility the PM deems safe and secure.

NO SURPRISE THAT THE MEN WHO PICK UP JUNK FROM THE BCF HAVE BECOME GANJA JUNKIES. It is possible that corrupt officers at the BCF, who supply contraband to the prisoners, are trying to destroy petty competitors like the garbage truck men.

there is no proven study that smoking WEED promotes crime or violence, no one from the beginning of time has ever overdosed on WEED, its an herd all you dummies,
and the USA is the instigator behind all of it, they are two faced.
so whats the solution,….fill up the prison population and giving people 10 years, taking ones life away for smoking a little herd!!,…are you kidding me!
