PRESS RELEASE:-Soufriere, St. Lucia – The Soufriere Regional Development Foundation has aggressively sort to enhance employee productivity by improving on existing employee skill sets and strengthening the capacity of its workforce in order raise the overall quality of service delivery to community stakeholders and corporate partners.
According to the Executive Director, Jimmy Haynes, “the organisation is currently in a transformation mode. A Human Resource Department was recently established to accomplish the organisation’s vision of contributing towards the development of its human resource capital.”
Furthermore, he noted that a vast sector of the organisation will be engaged in training and capacity building exercises to fulfil the mandate of building a highly functional and competent workforce.
Training symposiums included a Performance Appraisal Curriculum for Supervisors, First Aid/CPR training for Part-time Tour Guides, Tour Guide and Technical Content Presentations for Tour Guides and Special Police Constable Training for Wardens.
Operations Manager, Franklin Solomon is thrilled with the revolution. “The training isn’t just important to the organisation, it is imperative for employee development because the information is for a lifetime” he intimated.
The Soufriere Foundation is a not for profit organisation located in Soufriere. Its mandate is to undertake social, economic, cultural and other sustainable developments in the Soufriere region. The organization which was established in 1993 generates revenues from its operational sites: the Sulphur Springs Park, Gros Piton Nature Trail, Comfort Center, Soufriere jetties and 88.5 Soufriere FM.
