Potentially catastrophic category 5 Hurricane Maria eyes Dominica

Forecasters say Hurricane Maria has intensified into a potentially catastrophic category 5 storm and is moving toward Dominica.

At 8:00pm Monday, the centre of the hurricane was located around 15 miles east south east of Dominica packing winds of 160mph.

Forecasters says some additional strengthening is possible tonight.

On the forecast track, the core of Maria will move near Dominica and the adjacent Leeward Islands during the next few hours, according to the National Hurricane Centre.

Photos posted on social media earlier today showed downed power lines and trees in Roseau Valley.

Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 25 miles from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles.

Let us all pray for Dominica. Yesterday their Prime Minister was in the BVI hoping to assist them. Tomorrow he will need that assistant. Our God is a merciful God

God knows what is best? according to this philosophy people shouldn’t pray to ask something to god. just accept his will cause he know what is best. in the other hand i suggest to those people who are praying for Dominica, beside pray organize themselves to see what really they can do to help dominican people.

Why don’t you just shut your front door. Sounding so pompous and self righteous. Who appointed you judge, jury and executioner? Telling people how and when to pray. Always have some fools coming across with nonsense. Choooooppppsssssss!

I worked in St Lucia and Barbados in 2007, as RVP of the islands largest call center. On one island an earthquake, the other a hurricane. ST Lucians are good people as well as the citizens of Barbados. I met the then minister of Tourism, now Prime Minister Michael Chastenet. Lets keep him, Marvin, Linford , Cecelia, Debbie, Lucretia and them all in our thoughts.

Can’t you’ll see that God is angry with us all. Can’t we realize that these hurricanes are forming one after the other and very intensive? Too much crime is taking place. What is even worse we are too involved in politics and don’t give thanks to God who is the sovereign creator. Some of us are angry with each other because of political differences. Fear God, give Him the Glory and put politics aside.

Our Heavenly Father is calling us to repentance. Especially those of us in the Caribbean. God Almighty is calling you to wake up and know who you are. You are the children of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. You are not really Caribbean people. You are Hebrew Israelites from the Middle East. This is your real home. Your duty is to keep his commandments as given in the Bible in the Book of Exodus chapter 20. The Lord said He scattered the children of Israel in all nations all over the world because they were disobedient to him they went astray from Him. But he said in the last days He will wake them up and He will Gather them together from every nation and bring them back to the land which he gave to their Ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We so called West Indians are their children from the middle East. This place is our true home. Our ancestors were taken to the different place of the earth as slaves. Now the time has come for our deliverance. The Almighty LORD is asking us to accept Him as our King of Kings and LORD of Lords, and to turn away from all unrighteousness. Let us give Glory and Praise to our Heaven King who liveth and reigneth for ever and ever. Amen.
