Skills Training Workshop – St. Lucia Crisis Centre/ APAEI

PRESS RELEASE: The St. Lucia Crisis Centre (SLCC) in collaboration with the L’Association des Parents et Amis des Enfants Inadaptes(APAEI) (Association of Relatives & Friends of Children with Disabilities)- Marie Galante of Guadeloupe is conducting a Two Day Workshop in Food Preparation and Sewing on Wednesday November 01 and Thursday November 02 at the St. Lucia Crisis Centre from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Facilitators are Ambassador Lancy Duverceau and Madame Catherine Wilfred Educator of the APAEI in Guadeloupe. This Workshop is part of a ten day Schedule of Events to facilitate the visit by the two French visitors to the St. Lucia Crisis Centre.

The Workshop caters to the needs of parents of the Ione Erlinger Forde After School Care &Extended Programme and other Parents and Teachers of Special Needs Children. The Centre has sought to offer a range of activities within our limitations in the hope of enhancing their learning experience to help develop skills.

We are confident that the initiatives implemented will assist in providing quality service to our clients.

Activities culminate on Friday November 03 with a visit to the Dunnottar School and gathering at the St. Lucia Crisis Centre to bid farewell to our counterparts.
