Sexual assault charges against Seventh Day Adventist pastors withdrawn

Criminal charges for unlawful connection and indecent assault against two pastors of the Seventh Day Adventist Church have been withdrawn, according to lawyers for the accused.

The charges were voluntarily withdrawn by the accuser on 10th and 14th November, 2017, according to a statement issued today from the law office of Gordon Gordon & Co.

The pastors were arrested and charged by the police on 23rd May, 2017.

The pastors had consistently maintained their innocence against the charges and looked forward to the opportunity to vindicate themselves in the criminal courts, the statement added.

Praise the Lord. God doesn’t sleep. This woman owe the pastors an apology in public and I know very well the pastors have already forgiven this woman for what she has done wrong

From one SDA to another! Let’s always make peace not war. We ought to be humble. God does not want us to look for any apology. It’s her choice whether she wants to or not. Just praise the LORD, keep the faith and reach out to the young woman. Remember she is a child of God also and we don’t know what she has been going through. That’s what Jesus needs us to do.

Stop the comments and pray a prayer of thanksgiving!

Were the charges dropped because they were innocent or because the accusers didn’t want to pursue

What is this? The police apparently had sufficient evidence to charge the pastors but now they withdrawing the charges because the virtual complainant had a change of heart. Isn’t that perverting the course of justice? Can the virtual complainant withdraw charges? Isn’t that the role of the police and the DPP? Not sure that this could happen in the USA. Something is wrong with our legal system and because it is in shambles crime will only escalate. Smh.
