PRESS RELEASE: Castries, March 5, 2018: The St. Lucia Information and Communication Technology Association (SLICTA) – the association that represents the interests of the ICT sector, in collaboration with the American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN), is to host an ARIN in the Caribbean event through which ARIN seeks to foster greater visibility, engagement and interaction in and within the Caribbean region.
This event is scheduled for Tuesday March 06, 2018, and takes place at the Finance Administrative Centre at Pointe Seraphine from 09:00 am.
Information Technology and other technical persons from the public and private sectors will have an opportunity to learn about ARIN’s mission and core functions, policy developments, obtaining IPv6 resources and IPv4 services such as transfers, ARIN technical services, and best practices for building autonomous and resilient Caribbean networks.
Presenters will include Bevil Wooding, Caribbean Outreach Liaison; and Jon Worley, Technical Services Manager. There will also include Q&A and an Ask ARIN session where attendees can speak one-on-one with an ARIN staff member about requesting and managing IP addresses and ASNs, technical developments, or policy issues.
