Champion!! Very well done Lavern. I saw your disappointed face on the podium of the 2010 commonwealth games medal ceremony when you got bronze. You had the best PB of all the competitors back then but for some reason did not produce the winning jump. But you persevered over the years and got it right this time. Fab-tastic! I salute you.

Congratulations Lavern Spencer. You have made your country so proud of you. The hard work and dedication you have shown has truely paid off to be now known as the Commonwealth champion. Your gold medal is a reflection of your belief and determination. I was a volunteer driver for Alfred Emmanuel at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. I met you and the St Lucia team back then and i am so happy for you to say i have met the best and a Commonwealth Gold medalist. All the very best future success. Regards Cameron Geer from Australia.

LEVERN SPENCER THOSE FAKE ST.LUCIANS. DO YOUR DO, CAUSE IF YOU NEVER MADE GOAL, NO ONE WOULD CARE. REMEMBER WHEN YOU DIN’T JUMP, THEY ALL HAD … TO SAY. IF I WERE YOU I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM ST.LUCIA. ESTABLISH YOUR TALENTED SELF IN SOME OTHER COUNTRY…..
