Mac 11 Values Early Childhood Education

PRESS RELEASE: Castries, Saint Lucia, June 5, 2018 – The Morne Du Don Combined School was the beneficiary of a positive social movement on Tuesday June 5, 2018.

Saint Lucia`s 2016 Road March King and 2017 1st runner up Lance Montoute, popularly known as Mac 11, visited the school to launch his “2018 I Care Schools Tour”.

During this visit, the artist donated two hundred (200) hard cover notebooks as part of his social responsibility to give back. He shared that the project to give back was born out of his genuine interest well-being of our students and he will continue to do his best to support education.

Montoute added “when I went to school we all knew of students who didn’t have school supplies and even meals on a daily basis and I am sure this may very well still be the case today. This is why my team decided to embark on this project “I care”, to assist in supporting the educational pursuit of our students, every bit counts and I am pleased to be here today to make this donation to you”.

During his address to the school assembly, Montoute also encouraged the students to take their education seriously and refrain from engaging in illicit activities.

School Principal, Miss Julietta Charles was on hand to receive the donation and extend gratitude to the entertainer for giving back. She was pleased to see a young artist engaging in such a positive initiative and lauded the efforts of “Mac 11” and his team.

Mac 11 has also announced plans to donate computers to schools on the island later this year, through consultation with the Ministry of Education. The artist says his dream is to build community facilities in areas of where they are most necessary.

He also thanked his corporate sponsors, event organisers and promoters who continue to support him, in so doing enabling him to give back.
