The French Navy vessel, Ventôse, recently seized 210 kilos of cocaine East of Saint Lucia and arrested two men, Martinique media reports say.
According to the reports, the men and the drugs were aboard a sail boat.
The French Navy intercepted the vessel between April 15 and 16, initially discovering 17 packages of cocaine on board.
However, a thorough search yielded more drugs.
Martinique 1Ere reported that the two suspects, a 43-year-old Estonian and a 64-year-old Latvian, appeared before a magistrate in Fort de France on Friday.
And the court indicted them on charges of drug trafficking and criminal association.
As a result, the men face up to thirty years in jail.
French law enforcement officials say they have seized some five tons of drugs since the beginning of 2021.
