A 74-year old has become a source of inspiration amid the news coverage of crime, COVID-19 and a world that is generally in crisis.

The President of the Beausejour Community Group, Jim Joseph, has been sharing the story of Leena Daniel, 74 and her neighbour, Alvin.

Joseph shared videos on social media of Daniel and Alvin doing their usual  clean up of their  community.

Daniel said although no one pays her, she is always cleaning.

Her task Tuesday included clearing bush from a blind spot in the roadway.

“She saw the need to do it without persons asking her,” the President of the Beausejour Community Group says in the video posted on social media.

“She is 74 years old and if we as able-bodied younger persons do not take the initiative to do it – this is a perfect example,” Joseph asserted.

While Daniel cleaned one area, a neighbour of hers  – Alvin, did the same in another location.

Alvin says he has been doing the  voluntary work for the past six years.

“What an inspiration. Please share. We all must play our part. Now we have no excuse,” the President of the Beausejour Community Group declared.
