Air Canada resumed service to Saint Lucia on Sunday after more than a year, with Tourism Minister Dr. Ernest Hilaire describing the development as reopening another key tourism source market.
Writing on his official Facebook page, the Minister disclosed that the turnaround flight arrived just about 2:00 p.m., bringing a combined total of 129 returning nationals and visitors.
The Chairman of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) Thaddeus Antoine, and the President of the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association (SLHTA), Paul Collymore were among the officials who joined the Tourism Minister in welcoming the flight.
“In the weeks ahead, the destination will see an increase in service with Air Canada and the reintroduction of service with Sunwing and Westjet,” Hilaire stated.
