Veteran Saint Lucia Journalist, Earl Bousquet, has disclosed that his deceased brother Alex Bousquet whom people saw on television, was not all there was to the well-known Daher Broadcasting Service (DBS) reporter.

Alex Bousquet’s Family Concerned Over Voice Note As They Await Post Mortem

“I say so in a positive context because Alex was my mother’s most talented son. His last profession of several which he was very good at was dabbling in journalism, but Alex, like the rest of the family, was a man of the sea,” Earl told reporters.

“The sea salt and water run in his veins,” Earl asserted.

He recalled that Alex went sailing the world as soon as he left school, becoming multilingual in the process.

Earl said that his deceased brother was also a ‘clinical artist’ who had drawn ‘spitting images’ of most world leaders in addition to having been a Dockmaster here.

“The other side of him that people don’t know is the comedic side – one I will always remember,” he told reporters.

Earl recalled a visit here by American actor and comedian Eddie Murphy aboard a yacht that entered Rodney Bay. He said everyone told the actor that he had to meet Alex.

“When he met Alex and Alex mimicked him, he asked Alex to get a suitcase. ‘Let’s move on,'” Earl remembered, adding that his brother was multi-talented.

But he lamented that ‘careless reporting’ has added to the family’s grief over his brother’s death.

“As I speak to you, nobody in the family has seen a death certificate or the cause of death, but I have read five different causes of death on social media,” Earl explained.

He also disclosed that he had heard a recording of the voice of an unidentified female. In the recording, which people are circulating on social media, the woman comments on Alex Bousquet’s medical situation and likely cause of death. However, Earl said no one in the family knows the woman.
