Former Saint Lucia Prime Minister, Dr. Kenny Anthony, has disclosed that has has lost many friends along the way because he refused to use his office to satisfy their personal needs at the expense of the people of Vieux Fort South and Saint Lucia.
But he wrote on Facebook that he has no regrets.
“I have always put the people of Vieux Fort South and Saint Lucia first,” the Vieux Fort South MP asserted, adding that representation is about the people of this country and not family, friends and foreigners.
It was an obvious salvo against the Allen Chastanet administration which the opposition Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) has often accused of putting family, friends and foreigners or FFF, before the people of this country.
However, just this week the ruling United Workers Party (UWP) in a statement dubbed the opposition’s ‘jingoistic FFF slogan’ a lie, while highlighting, among other things, the ‘trickle down’ benefits of tourism.
