Babonneau MP Says COVID-19 Numbers ‘Frightening’

Babonneau MP, Ezechiel Joseph, declaring that COVID-19 numbers are frightening, has urged members of his constituency to observe existing protocols.

He made the call in a video posted on his official Facebook page.

Joseph said he is very concerned about the number of people testing positive for the COVID-19 virus.

And he recalled that health officials, including the Chief Medical Officer, have been giving advice on what people should be doing to reduce the spread.

The Babonneau MP voiced support for practising the protocols – wearing masks in public, sanitising and observing social distancing.

“Let us all work together so that we in the Babonneau community can see a turnaround, can see a reduction in the numbers in Babonneau,” Joseph declared.

“It’s very frightening,” he asserted.

As a result, he called on everyone to observe the protocols.

“Let us turn around the negative situation that we have been experiencing in Babonneau,” Joseph encouraged his audience.

The Ministry of Health Friday announced eighty-nine new cases of COVID-19.

They came from a batch of 356 tests that the Ezra Long Laboratory conducted.

Due to the  new cases, number of COVID-19 patients diagnosed in country as of Friday was 1195, the Ministry stated.
