The fourth phase of a  tree planting  exercise organized by the Babonneau Youth Synergy ended yesterday.

The event was organized as part of the group’s continuing efforts at river bank rehabilitation and ensuring sustainable water quality.

Babonneau Youth Synergy collaborated with Cox and Company in the exercise.

As a result, sixty visiting cruise ship passengers from the Royal Princess Cruise ship took part.

Some two hundred trees were planted.

The tree planting was preceded by a clean up of the Fond Assau River at the end of last month by fifteen members of the Babonneau Youth Synergy.

The group will be celebrating its fifth anniversary in January next year.

It was launched with the objective of developing, empowering and mobilizing young people throughout Babonneau.
