A baby suffered burns in a Coolie Town fire Sunday night and four persons were injured when two vehicles collided at La Fargue, Choiseul on Saturday.

Fire service officials say the one-year old male and a 62 year old man suffered from smoke inhalation and second degree burns to the head and back respectively as a result of a residential house fire at Coolie Town, some two miles from the fishing village of Anse La Raye.

A fire service official told St Lucia Times that the blaze was confined to a bedroom.

Residents of Coolie Town say the injured fire victims were taken to hospital by ambulance.
