A bar owner in the North of the Island has made it clear that he will not condone an explicit threat a patron made against Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet.

The male patron used a karaoke performance to sing the threats.

He sang the threatening words to the tune of the well-known song – Guantanamera.

And a video recording of the performance appeared on social media, quickly becoming viral.

As a result, police have launched an investigation.

The owner of the bar where the karaoke session took place  issued the following statement  to St Lucia Times:

“In a video posted on social media, a young man was caught singing explicit lyrics directed at the Prime Minister.

The video was filmed at a karaoke session on May 25th.

At the time of the recording the Dj was away from his equipment and unable to stop the music at once.

The proprietor of the establishment at which the karaoke session was held, wishes to advise that they do not condone this type of behavior or any other form of antisocial behavior.

The individual in the video was moments later cautioned by the proprietor, and asked to desist from such conduct now and in future, and told that he will not be allowed to participate at karaoke sessions if he persists.”
